The Aurora Youth Choir was set up within the Aurora Opera Theater and the Leone Philharmonic Society in 2015 to develop singing talent and a love for theatrical culture in children. Our main focus is on theatrical and secular services, thus taking part in a number of shows held at the Aurora Opera Theater together with other social and civil activites held from time to time on Gozo. However, same as the rest of the Leone Society, the choir has at heart all of the Cathedral parish together with the parish life, and so the choir holds a number of services at the Cathedral church, and in the name of the Cathedral church it also holds services in other churches across Victoria and Gozo. The choir is directed by Matthew Sultana, who also accompanies on the piano, whilst Antonella Portelli is the leader of the choir. The choir is open for children ages 7 and up.
