Couples who are preparing to get married should attend a special course held in the Parish. Preferably this course should be done in the two years prior to the wedding. Courses are usually held in Maltese in various parishes, and these consist of ten meetings held on a bi-weekly basis. Such courses are prepared and conducted by a number of couples who through their experience as a married couple and under the guidance of the Archpriest, help couples in preparing by discussing various aspects of marriage, including the formation of marriage under the religious aspect and the legal aspect. At the end of such course, a certificate is given which should then be presented to the parish office where the wedding ceremony is to be held. Bookings for such courses can be done by downloading the application form and forwarding it to the parish office.
